SPANISH DINNER @ ROSETTE

21 April 2005
Rosette Fine Dining
SHA Villa, Lloyds Road

The first of our series of intimate dining affairs, where small groups of guests are invited to indulge in interesting cuisine accompanied by specially selected wines from various sources. Here, we worked with the students of SHATec at their practical training fine dining restaurant. Their Spanish promotional menu featured a five-course meal of Spanish delights matched with our selection of new-generation wines from Spain.

These wines were CODICE, a seductive wine selected from the vast estates of Dominio Eguren, aromatic LIBALIS, a Muscat a Petit Grains-based wine, Grenache from the semi-dessert region of Borja produced the BORSAO Seleccion and finally, ETIM Seleccion from DO Montsant, a brooding red wine of old vine Garnacha and young Cabernet Sauvignon.

Check our monthly wine specials to enjoy these limited quantity wines. Not to be missed!!

A total of NINE wines from SPAIN was offered at 'THE NEW SPAIN" tasting. Each wine featured a different varietal or blend. The varietals were Albarino, Moscatel, Malvasia, Viura, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot, Graciano, Garnacha, Monastrell & Pedro Ximenez. How many varietals are you familiar with? If not, you have a 2nd chance to drink these wines. Most of them are being offered at our ONLINE page. In addition to the above NINE wines, Govin served his famous roast LAMB LEG, SALMON Parfait, a selection of CHEESES with accompanying breads & crisps. All for a modest price of $35.00.
