INDULGENCE EXHIBITION
(a showcase of quality Western Australian wines & more)

The organisers & winner of the California/Western Australian Cabernet Challenge. The winning trophy was taken by Edwards Vineyard. Jeff Clarke, Cape Lavender, makes Lavender wines from his fields of Lavender & grapes. Besides a range of Lavender products, Jeff makes some excitingly different sparkling wine with a lavender twist. Jane Bailey, Woody Nook Wines, showing off her very enticing Rose, a blend of Merlot & Chenin Blanc. It is not often that one gets this style right, balancing between tannins & sweetness. Annette Hutton of Gralyn Estate, looking splendid next to her poster, where Robert Parker heaps praise for their wines of Cabernets and old vine Shirazes. Her stand shared equal 'star' status with Cullens and Pierro
Julie & David Gardiner of Yokain Vineyard Estate, showing off to great effect, their easy drinking "Simply Red" and an outstanding Reserve Merlot Visitors lapping up samples of Cullen's top wines, generously poured at this exhibition Pierro's Chardonnay was the crowd's favourite, another premium offering at the exhibition. An exciting find from cool Pemberton, are the delicious white wines of Silkwood Wines, including one of two top Pinot Noirs in this show. Presenting their wines are owners, Pamela & John Allen
Margaret & Peter Giumelli, Ferguson Falls Estate, having an intense discussion with Jeremy Keisman, formerly of New York, now, at famous Everitt Road. Ferguson Falls showed a wonderfully aromatic Cabernet Merlot from their estate. Paul McArdle, Higher Plane Wines, explaining the quality of wines that they seek in their range of excellent Cabernets & Shirazes. Annette Hutton busily pouring out her top quality Gralyn wines to eager visitors to the exibition. The in-house Margaret River Chef dishes out outstandingly fresh food from this makeshift show kitchen smack in the middle of the exhibition hall at The Regent Singapore Ballroom.
